SECURE - DATA CENTER AND COLOCATION

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

The Megagate Data Center is an environmentally hardened facility. The cast concrete walls and roof are reinforced with steel and composite materials in order to meet engineering specifications exceeding a 200 mile per hour wind rating.

Located just outside of Hattiesburg, MS, the Megagate Data Center is remotely located in a secure environment and well away from earthquake, tidal surge, tornado, and other natural disaster areas. The facility occupies approximately 6 acres and the data center is completely contained within a nine-foot security fence.

SECURITY

All individuals given access to the facility must undergo a thorough background check. After satisfactorily completing the background check they are issued a numbered key fob and security code with which to enter the facility.
All external and locked internal entrances and passageways are secured via a key fob and proximity reader latching system.
Each key fob identification number is maintained in a data base along with a photo identification of the registered user.
Closed circuit television cameras monitor all activity inside and outside the facility, a recording is made, and a history of these recordings kept for future reference.
An alarm system monitors for unauthorized intrusion and/or movement in the facility and notifies authorities automatically in the unlikely event of a security breach.

FIRE PREVENTION

Fire protection is provided via a waterless and powderless Fire Suppression System triggered by smoke and heat sensors. All fire and security systems are remotely monitored 24 x 7 x 365.
